First Pumpkin Festival
Norwich, NY
October 23, 1999
This is one of two towers - this one in West Side Park.
Many of the pumpkins had themes - a collection from The Children's
Place, from SUNY Morrisville, from several families, with their names spelled
out in Jack-o-Lanterns.

In addition to the towers, there were huge ranks of scaffolding.

Allen White's 579 pound one was displayed in the sponsor's graveyard.
Many of the volunteers wore bright orange shirts. Here is Mark
Howell.

This pumpkin
is huge, well carved and relatively cheery.
