We're Off to Texas
March, 2005

We left on Sunday to Brockport to visit the kids.  We had a delightful evening.  Peri was, of course, adorable.

She tried on outfit after outfit and had us read several books to her.

"Say Baaah," says Grandpa.
Grandpa was tickled when Daddy was taking her to bed and she started crying, "Noooo, noooo, I want Grandpa to put me in bed."  He got to hear her sound out all the letters of the alphabet before she had him read Aladin before bed.
Next morning we were off to Buffalo airport to catch the Southwest flight to San Antonio.

The plane was full, but we were able to get a window and a middle seat and there was a slim, quiet woman who chose the aisle seat.    After the plane landed to let off some people and pick up others in Baltimore, another slim, quiet woman chose to sit next to us.  Hooray!  We arrived in San Antonio, picked up an SUV, and drove to the motel.  It was a pretty grim motel, but it was just one night,  On Tuesday, we will begin our travels in Texas.
